Our Co2 savings with Emma

Our system Emma has revolutionized the gas preheating process, guaranteeing the exact quantity of energy for every cubic meter of gas and avoiding waste. This led not only to the significant reduction of gas consumptions during the preheating phase, but also to the CO2 emissions cut.

Reducing CO2 emissions is a target we have been committed to achieving for many years: the first Emmas were produced and installed in 2012, and since that year they have been part of our efforts to protect the environment.

Up to now we have installed 600 Emmas. An analysis on installed systems allowed us to verify the trend of CO2 emissions we have saved over the years. In particular, the analysis underlines these facts:

 

 

This saving is comparable – for example – to the CO2 absorbed by more than 100,000 trees in 10 years.

As an energy company, we think we have a great responsibility towards our planet. The way we act can affect the environment around us and for this reason we want to do all we can to preserve it. Our commitment to the environment is past, present and future because it is part of Regas DNA.
